Crochet for your Bae
Upcoming Library Event in January
We will be having an event at the Prince Frederick Library on January 9th from 12- 5p.m.. We will be teaching kids a craft and talking about why the bay is important. It will be a good opportunity for them to exercise their creativity while learning about how they can take part in helping the environment. We hope to see you there!
Crochet Christmas
The holidays are coming soon, and Crochet for the Bay is here to help you find the perfect gift for your family or friend. If you are a student or teacher at Huntingtown High School, be sure to stop by at lunch during the week of December 14th-18th for Crochet Christmas. You will be able to browse our home made crafts, and hopefully find something that interests you, while supporting the preservation of the Chesapeake Bay.
PRAD Coming Up Soon!
Patuxent River Appreciation Day is right around the corner! In case you're new to PRAD, it's October 10th-12th at the Calvert Marine Museum, so mark your calendars for this weekend. The weather is supposed to be very nice, so we're expecting a huge turn out. Check back next week for an update on how much we raised at PRAD. We are super stoked for this weekend and hope you are too.
September Makers Market 9/8/15
The Maker's Market this past Saturday at Annmarie Gardens went very well. The weather was beautiful and the sun was out. It was great to see everyone's appreciation for local handmade products, and we were glad to take part. Occasionally someone would ask us about our organization, which gave us the opportunity to spread knowledge about our mission and purpose. We made $36 selling students handmade crafts, and are excited to earn more at future events.

Upcoming Makers Market
Though we may have seemed to be M.I.A. this Summer, we have been working very hard behind the scenes. Now that the school year has started, we have gained more members, and are ready for a new event. We will be vending our handmade crafts this Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Ann Marie Gardens. We hope to see you there! We are very excited to start the new school year and hopefully spread our organization to new members and schools who care about making a difference.
Earth Day Crafts! 4/15/15
April's Maker's Market! 4/15/15
On Saturday, April 4th, our crochet crew made their way over Annmarie Gardens for the Maker's Market! Although it was quite windy and we didn't make our goal amount, we had a great time doing what we love. We enjoyed meeting new people who shared the same interests as us who are as dedicated as us as well. Between trying to keep the wind out of our faces and meeting fellow crafters, we made time to create more fun crafts!
Here we see Noell Gebelein, top right, knitting a sweater. Next we see Dia Brown, top left, crocheting a hat(to protect her head from the wind), Kaitlyn Elliston, bottom left, knitting herself a scarf, and Elisabeth Ricks, bottom right, calculating their earnings for the day.

Delicious Treats! 3/9/15
Yum! Look at all those scrumptious crochet deserts! These were made by our member of the week for this week, Kanesha Keemer and are just a taste of what is to come at our events at Annmarie Gardens!
Crochet for your Bae 2/15/15
Crochet for your Bae is done and was a huge success! The kids loved crafting at the PF library and we made $150 at the school. Thanks so much for the support and we hope to see more support at Annmarie Gardens.
A Quick Update! 1/23/15
Recently we put up posters for our upcoming events and it is important to know that Crochet for your Bae and Crochet for the Bay Earth Day are not library sponsored events! They are just simply being held at the library. Not all of our posters say this at the bottom and we apologies for the inconvenience. Thanks, and hope to see yah there!
Crochet for Your Bae
Get ready for Valentine's Day, because our next event, Crochet for Your Bae, is coming up! It will take place at the Prince Frederick Library at 2:30 - 5 p.m.. Love is in the air, and we're spreading it by selling our crafts to raise money for our cause. We will be teaching you how to make crafts and explain why it is important to live eco-friendly. Food and drinks will be provided, too. Donations would be immensely appreciated, as we are a non-profit organization. We hope you can attend and find a gift for that special someone while supporting our cause.
Crochet Christmas Raises about $200!
Crochet Christmas at Huntingtown High turned out great! We raised about $200 dollars and it wouldn't have happened if not for the support and creativity of HHS's staff and students. Stay tuned for two upcoming events: Crochet for Your Bae and Crochet for the Bay Earth Day. We hope to see you there and receive the same support and even more money to go towards our cause.
Crochet Christmas Is on the Way!
We here at C4B were looking for a nice way for everyone to give back this holiday season, and what better way then making some festive crafts to boost up support. Thus, Crochet Christmas was born! From December 15th- December 19th we will be holding a festive craft sale during lunch at Huntingtown High School to get more people involved in this season of giving. All we ask of you is to spread the word by tweeting #crochetchristmas to keep up the C4B spirit!
